The BioMax: fast, simple and efficient creating the desired atmosphere into an anaerobic jar for the best results in culturing anaerobes.

FAST

Whether you would like to have an anaerobic or microaerophilic atmosphere in one or more jars, the BioMax creates these automatically for you within several minutes with the anaerobic gasmixture (85%N²-10% CO²- 5%H²). A max of 2 different gasses can be connected.

SIMPLE

The control of the touchscreen is intuitive and comfortable. By means of one push on the button the user starts its selected program. The BioMax checks for jar leaks and catalyst activity. Ideal for small scale experiments suitable like flushing with extra CO² or N²-gas.

EFFICIENT

The BioMax prevents the daily use of consumables by using regenerative Palladium catalysts. No additional waste, excellent for the environment and very cost-effective.

The BioMax can be used with Kentron’s anaerobic jars, but the BioMax is also compatible with jars from other brands.

Different models are available with 1 or 2 gasses or 1-2-3-4 jar connections.

Available with the oxygen selector: culture with your desired oxygen levels between 0-15%.

Culturing with microplates is made easy if the Biomax gets connected to the A-Box.

The A-BOX and an anaerobic chamber?

If for scientific research and development certain processes are needed in a strict anaerobic environment, we offer complementary Bactron anaerobic chambers from Sheldon Manufacturing.

The BioMax and the STRATUS MICROPLATE READER

Kentron’s A-Box XXL has been specifically designed to host the Stratus hand-held microplate reader which can be used with a microaerophilic or anaerobic environment. Kentron Microbiology offers now a flexible program to the laboratory for the culture of anaerobes by saving time and money.

Anaerobic culturing is brought to the next level: incubating and reading Optical Density is now made possible with the combination of the A-Box XXL and Stratus microplate reader.
